Atlanta Pride is the American South's largest LGBTQ+ celebration, transforming Piedmont Park and the surrounding Midtown neighborhood each October for one of America's most beloved pride festivals. The event draws over 300,000 people to the city that has been the economic and cultural heart of the American South for decades, and home to one of the US's most vibrant and visible Black LGBTQ+ communities.
The parade through Midtown on Sunday draws hundreds of thousands down Peachtree Street and into Piedmont Park, where the festival runs across two days with multiple stages and community programming. Atlanta's October timing — warm but not summer-hot, with beautiful fall light — makes the outdoor festival exceptionally comfortable.
