Boston Pride is one of New England's largest LGBTQ+ celebrations, a week-long festival centered on the historic Back Bay and South End neighborhoods. The signature Pride Parade marches through Copley Square and along Boylston Street — one of America's most storied LGBTQ+ routes — drawing 100,000+ spectators to the sidewalks of this college-packed city.
The Boston Pride festival week includes a Health & Wellness Fair, a Pride Film Festival, the iconic Pride Flag raising at City Hall, and multiple community events across the city's vibrant LGBTQ+ neighborhoods. The event has a notably activist and community-focused character, reflecting Boston's tradition as a city of civil rights organizing.
After a period of internal community debate and rebuilding in 2021-2022, Boston Pride has re-emerged with renewed energy and a more inclusive organizational structure.
