New York Pride is the oldest continuously running pride march in the world, tracing its roots to the 1969 Stonewall uprising. The June march down Fifth Avenue draws millions of spectators, and the surrounding Pride Island concert and ancillary events fill the city's venues for an entire month. WorldPride came to New York in 2019 for the 50th anniversary of Stonewall — a landmark moment in LGBTQ+ history.
