Le Ravelin occupies a prominent corner position on Rue des Couteliers in the Carmes quarter, Toulouse's most densely LGBTQ+-oriented neighbourhood. The bar operates as a relaxed local during the week, then shifts gear at weekends with DJ nights, karaoke sessions and drag appearances. The outdoor terrace, opened seasonally from May, becomes one of the most animated spots in the quarter on warm evenings. A genuinely mixed LGBTQ+ crowd — gender diverse, welcoming to women as well as gay men — makes Le Ravelin the social linchpin of the Carmes scene. The space also hosts occasional fundraising events for LGBTQ+ causes.
