Taboo is Milan's dedicated bear and leather bar — a rougher, darker alternative to the polished cocktail lounges on Via Melzo. Located near Centrale station on Via Sammartini, it occupies a basement space with low ceilings, brick walls and a dark room at the rear. The dress code on Friday and Saturday nights encourages leather, rubber and uniform. The crowd is predominantly bear-identified and skews 30–50. Theme nights rotate through the week: cruise nights, uniform nights, naked nights on specific Saturdays. Taboo is the point of connection between Milan and the broader European bear circuit — visiting bears from Germany, the UK and the Netherlands are a regular feature. The bar is deliberately unpretentious about décor and service: the purpose is the people and the atmosphere, not the interior design. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 21:00.
