Hotel Zachary sits directly across Clark Street from Wrigley Field and represents the transformation of the Wrigleyville neighbourhood into a destination with real hotel infrastructure. Named for the Cubs' owner who built Wrigley Field in 1914, the hotel is modern in design — 173 rooms, a rooftop terrace, and a ground-floor restaurant — and explicitly welcoming of LGBTQ+ guests. The location is particularly useful for gay visitors: Boystown on Halsted Street is less than a 10-minute walk east, making the hotel well-positioned for both Wrigleyville's sports bar culture and Boystown's gay scene. The Clark Street stretch between Wrigley Field and Boystown is genuinely walkable. During Chicago Pride weekend, the hotel's proximity to the parade route (which runs along Broadway and Halsted) makes it one of the most logistically convenient options in the area. For Cubs games, the hotel is the most convenient accommodation in the city by a significant margin.
